About the Book: This is the first and only book to provide a systems thinking perspective focusing completely on health. In doing so, the authors describe the foundations of systems thinking, while providing methods, tools, and applications to enhance the reader’s understanding. Furthermore, the book is organized in a way that utilizes levels of analysis from the micro (individual) to the macro (global). Tools, applications, and cases are provided for health leaders, organizations, and policy in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. In the spirit of systems thinking, the book is wide-ranging in its scope, while maintaining a simple elegance in its usability. It is most appropriate for courses in health administration, public health, health policy, global health, and organization development.
