About The Author
Kenneth A. Kriz, Ph.D. is Associate Professor at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Dr. Kriz conducts research focusing on economic development policy, municipal debt policy and administration, government financial risk management techniques, and transportation finance, along with the use of advanced quantitative methods in public administration. He has consulted with several public and nonprofit organizations on financial and economic issues. Dr. Kriz is a frequent presenter at public economics and public budgeting and financial management conferences and has published papers in the areas of local economic development, the use of government reserve funds, economic and fiscal forecasting, municipal bond economics and underwriting strategies, and the effects of revenue limitation initiatives on state government borrowing costs. Dr. Kriz served as a Fulbright Scholar in the Republic of Estonia during the academic year 2004-05 and as a Fulbright Senior Specialist in the Czech Republic in 2008.
