About The Author

Robert C. Morris is a professor of curriculum studies at the University of West Georgia. He holds a Ph.D. in Secondary Education, specializing in curriculum and instruction, and school administration from Indiana State University. Prior to his appointment at the University of West Georgia, Dr. Morris was Dean of the School of Education at the University of Indianapolis. Other positions include Department Chair and Professor of Educational Leadership, Research and Technology at Georgia Southern University and professorships at the University of South Carolina, Northern Illinois University and Auburn University. His public school teaching was in Roanoke, VA. at both the middle grades and secondary levels. His research has been involved with innovative instructional programs, curriculum designs, as well as computer technology. He is interested in creating learning materials, multicultural education, learning goals, classroom evaluations, and accountable teaching. His two hundred plus publications include the areas of students at-risk; violence in schools; self-esteem and the effects of low-esteem on academic success.
