About the Author:
Ruth McDonald is the recipient of the Dr. Ann and Charles Horak III Teaching Excellence Endowment. She is a Credentialed Educator with the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) and teaches in the Women’s and Gender Studies Department at the University of Texas at El Paso.
She holds degrees in Advertising and Communication with emphasis in Media Studies and gender. She has spent over thirteen years in the motion picture industry including the areas of film marketing, and movie audience research. She has also worked as a consultant in the field of neuromarketing conducting audience research for advertising campaigns to include market testing for film trailers and super bowl advertising.
She has instructed courses in topics ranging from gender, media and technology; motion picture industry; to TV production.
