About The Author
Evelyn Brooks is a professor of nursing at Missouri Western State University. She earned a diploma from Wesley School of Nursing, a BSN from Fort Hays State University, an MN from Wichita State University, and a PhD in Nursing from the University of Kansas. Dr. Brooks has taught statistics, research, and community health, and has directed graduate projects in the pre-licensure BSN, RN to BSN, and the MSN for Healthcare Leadership programs. She has been honored for her teaching and community health programs with many grant awards. She has authored numerous professional presentations and publications. She is a CCNE site evaluator and has received the Jesse Lee Myers Teaching Award for Excellence and American Red Cross Partnership Award, and is a Board of Governors Distinguished Professor.
W. Steven Brooks earned a BA from Purdue University and earned an MA and PhD in Communication Studies from the University of Kansas. Dr. Brooks taught at the university level for 25 years. He has numerous presentations at professional conferences and has co-authored six books on communication. He is presently a public school mathematics teacher and an adjunct professor at Missouri Western State University.
